Life Update

First, I want to thank all who have read and shared my blog over the past few months. Welcome to my new site and layout! I'm still working out the kinks and details of this new site, but it's coming along. I haven’t given my blog a whole lot of attention lately because I was planning my wedding. I am officially married now and thankful the craziness of planning a wedding is over. The day was wonderful and everyone enjoyed themselves which is what I was most worried about. I’m overjoyed it went so well!

Second, because I haven’t been posting in my blog while I’ve been stressing about wedding planning, I have learned a few new tips about some of my already posted materials and have added to my previous posts to make them a bit more complete. When I first started blogging, I wanted to keep my posts short, simple, and to the point. After thinking it over a bit while educating some of my friends on supplements, I’ve realized that it is better to have more information than not enough. My posts are still pretty to the point, but I’ve added more information about the supplements and links to the products I’ve grown to like and like to recommend. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, everyone is different. Please don’t think that the products I recommend are the only ones out there or are guaranteed to work for you. These are just the products that I am familiar with and like for myself. Furthermore, I will continue to link products in my posts for you guys.

Third, I personally have been more fatigued and kind of down over the past month or so which is common for myself during the winter months. I have altered some of my regimen to assist with that, but it hasn’t helped as much as I’d like it to. I started talking to my chiropractor about the issues I’ve been having because she takes a more holistic approach to overall health and has helped me with my adrenal fatigue over the past few years. She is advising I take a saliva test to see where my cortisol levels are at to recommend more appropriate supplements for my stage of adrenal fatigue. In order to get accurate results for this test, I need to cease all use of adaptogenic herbs, energy assisting components, and adrenal health supplements. To be frank, I was scared to do this because I have already not been feeling like myself and I didn’t want to make it worse. It has been over a month since I cleaned up my regimen and I’m actually feeling better. I’ve taken the saliva test and haven’t gotten results yet, but I don’t plan on resuming my adrenal regimen. I don’t know the reason for this unexpected outcome, but I’m sure it was just time for me to redo my supplement plan and clean my system a little bit. I believe my body is working more efficiently because it doesn’t have as much to process. Yay liver and kidney cleansing!

Overall, I think it is a good idea to not overdo it on the supplements and to give your body a break every now and then from processing so many natural supplements, over the counter medications not prescribed by a doctor, or foods/beverages that cause mayhem for your system. I’ll keep you updated on how this turns out for me after the results are in. In the meantime, feel free to leave a comment with any questions or tips about anything I’ve written about so far.

Thank you for reading my post!
